What do I do if...?
“I LOST MY ID CARD”
If a student loses their ID card, a replacement card can be purchased for $3 in the office. It will take 5 business days to receive the card. The student will be called to the office and handed their card when it comes in. During the 5 day waiting period the student is allowed to use a temporary card created by Ms. Robaska.
"i want to do better in a class"1. Attend. You have to be in class to learn. If you are coming in late, not at all, or leaving to get materials or go other places, you cannot be successful.
2. Be prepared. Make sure you have a pencil, paper, textbook, and anything else you need to complete your work. 3. Work. You will not improve if you waste class time socializing or sitting doing nothing. Use your class time to complete your practice assignments and prepare for assessments. 4. Complete work on time. When you turn work in late, it doesn't just affect your grade. It affects your LEARNING. If you just fill in the answers after the teacher has gone over them, you miss out on processing the information, which helps you learn. 5. Study. Study and prepare for tests, rather than relying on reassessments. This develops good study habits, and in the long run, it takes less time to do it right the first time. 6. Be motivated. This is your life and success, not someone else's. Nobody should care about it more than you do. You are preparing to be a high school student. Teachers should not have to sit by you to get you to focus and work. |
"I'm Absent"1. Check the homework calendar on the website. This will tell you what you missed for each class that day.
2. Be sure to complete each activity listed by the teacher. 3. Ask the teacher for any papers or other materials you need. 4. Ask the teacher any questions you have about the work you missed. 5. Be sure to schedule a time to take a test or quiz if you missed one. 6. For science, check D2L! "I don't know how to study for a test"1. Make or find a set of flashcards for your topic. You can use electronic flashcards on sites like www.quizlet.com. Your teacher may even have a class set up with flashcards already to go!
2. Rewatch videos that your teacher has made or provided. They are your teacher telling you the information that you need to know, so they're probably pretty important. 3. |
